Lake Tahoe – Zephyr Cove

July 31st, 2008 by Neil Corman

As I mentioned earlier in the week when talking about the Tahoe Rim Trail , I was in Lake Tahoe earlier this week taking some images.  Having gotten home on Tuesday evening with many compact flash cards (aka digital film) full of images, and a list of items to get caught up on I haven’t been able to get through and process all of the images.  I did start to process one image which is below.

This image was taken on Monday evening at Zephyr Cove which is just north of Stateline on the Nevada side of the lake.  I got lucky on this evening as the winds shifted direction and the smoke from the Telegraph Fire was not gathering at the lake.  Using a 30 second exposure, I wanted to get a fog like scene in the water while bringing the detail of the canoes at the edge of the lake.
