Salton Sea (Day 24)

November 24th, 2008 by Neil Corman

You may recall last year during Thirty Days I headed to the Imperial Valley and the Salton Sea, this year I am in the same area for a couple of days.  Instead of trying to do both sides of the sea this year I am focusing on some areas which I feel worked better for me last year.  I also have another spot I may check out in the area depending on the weather.  This year the weather could get interesting with the chance of rain tomorrow so we will see how it develops.

For the first afternoon I headed towards Red Hill Marina and the three trees featured in Salton Sea Sunset.  With some cloud cover I was thinking a black and white image, but found a light hint of color also worked well, bringing us Day 24.

Stop by tomorrow for Day 25 of Thirty Days 2008.

Great shot Neil. I like how you portray the Salton Sea as stark and desolate as it is.
