Washington Park on May Day – May 2008

The first day of May you wouldn’t expect snow, but that is what was falling from the sky on May Day 2008. As I watched the snowfall from my office window, I decided to head out in the elements to photograph at Washington Park here in Denver. My initial destination was the location of the tree in the March 2008 image posted two days ago. However as I drove past Smith Lake at the north end of the park I noticed the steam rising from the lake. I quickly switched gears and walked around the lake until I found the tree in the image below.
