A few weeks ago, I walked past Union Station in downtown Denver. The area around Union Station is in the midst of a huge construction project as it changes to a regional transportation hub for the Denver area. You may recall just over a year ago, I captured the following image of Union Station during a spring snow storm.

A year later this is how the scene has changed, of course the snow is not the only difference.

The image Union Station Snow has been on display in a few shows the past year on Saturday April 16th it will be displayed in the Lone Tree Photographic Art Show. The show runs through May 8th at the Lone Tree Golf Club and Hotel.

I will be in attendance on Saturday, and hope to see you there.

As part of the Creative Capitol exhibition program, I will have artwork on display at Denver International Airport through the end of February. The exhibit includes 79 artists showing around 100 pieces in all mediums. My work which was selected are Aircraft Departing and Union Station Snow.
During the Thanksgiving weekend I was able to see the display, which is on Concourse A (inside security). The two pieces may be found at the northwest portion of the mezzanine level.

Location on Concourse A

Union Station Snow and Aircraft Departing
If you are traveling through the airport between now and the end of February, snap a picture of the artwork and e-mail it to me. By doing so you will be entered to win a 8×10 matted print of one of the two pieces.

This past weekend, I participated in the Boulder Fall Festival which is my final art show of the year. It was great to meet many of you at the various shows which I did this summer and fall, and thank you for all of your comments regarding my work.
If you did not get a chance to stop by a show this year, my work will be at gallery nrc during the month of October. This Friday will be the First Friday Art Walk, so if you are in the area please do stop on by the gallery.
I am also starting to look at shows for 2011 and will make an announcement during the spring once I know the schedule of shows.

Thank you for everyone who stopped by the Downtown Boulder ArtFair, Highlands Ranch Arts Festival and Evergreen Arts Festival the past couple of months. It was great to meet everyone who stopped by the booth and talk about the images on display.
I have added an additional show to the schedule for the month of September in Boulder which takes place on September 25th and 26th (Saturday/Sunday). The Boulder Fall Festival is located along the Pearl Street Mall and features “food, brews and music with the added excitement of a Children’s Carnival and more than 30 artisan booths.”
I do hope to see you at the festival in a few weeks.

On Friday April 2, 2010, gallery nrc will celebrate its one year anniversary in Northwest Denver. Join us during First Friday in the Tennyson Arts District from 6-10pm to help celebrate the anniversary.

During the course of the year we have worked with some great photographers and others who have helped the gallery grow. With so many people helping out we decided to ask a few of these individuals to show their work at the gallery this month. The first anniversary show features the photographic work of Jake Groenhof, Terri Johanson, Christopher G Rice, Aleksei Saunders, Daylene Wilson and Neil Corman.
gallery nrc is located at 4424 Tennyson Street.

Earlier today I placed a collection of photographs at Optique of Denver located at 1580 Blake Street in Downtown Denver. Madeline the owner of Optique enjoys bringing in the work of local artists each month which brings a different feel to Denver’s Unique Eyewear Boutique. I shared this month with Art for Edison as they did a fundraiser at the beginning of the month, and was happy to give up the first two weeks of the month for that cause.
My photographs will be on display at the store until June 3rd, and the hours are Monday-Friday 9am-6pm, and Saturday from 10am-4pm. If you are in the downtown area stop on by and check out the work as well as Madeline’s products and friendly staff.
