In February 2008 I headed to the Glacier area for a few days of photographing and ventured into the park some of those days. The park is quite different in the winter with just a small portion of road open in the park, and the number of people you see being counted on two hands however it is quite magnificent. This image was an afternoon at Lake McDonald looking towards Stanton Mountain on some fresh snow which wasn't hard to find at all, well minus the fresh powder with animal tracks I encountered just after this location.
