During one of my trips to Imperial Valley to photograph, I headed back to San Diego a different way as I made my way through the agriculture fields of the valley. While doing so a brief rain shower passed over the area making the paved roads wet and some of the dirt roads muddy. I didn't think much of this until maybe fifteen minutes later when the sun came out. At this time I was heading along a two lane highway and Plaster City was right ahead. I pulled over on the side of the road and had about 10 minutes of opportunity to photograph the scene prior to the road drying out.
