Over the time I have visited the Salton Sea I have always made a point to explore this location in the southeast corner of the body of water. Located near the Sonny Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge, these trees will sometimes be in the water or on the dry soil depending on the level of the water. The morning gives some nice light on the trees, where in the evening in the right conditions a colorful sunset can occur behind the trees allowing their shape to turn to shadow in front of the sky.
