As I flew into Salt Lake from the northwest I found the colors of the mineral ponds an interesting featuring to photograph. As we descended on an angle it allowed the roads around the ponds to also angle versus their natural north/south and east/west routings. There is only so much time you get while photographing from an airplane, so as I was taking images I was also trying to look up ahead so I could plan any additional photos as we moved across the sky.
