In the summer of 2012 there were a small number of locations in Colorado putting on firework shows. One of those locations was Elitch Gardens which brought out a crowd to Diamond Hill and other areas near the park. Having photographed the Independence Day show last year I knew the location I wanted to shoot from this year. After waiting about 90 minutes for the 10:00 P.M. start time, the show kicked off just before the fireworks display at Sports Authority Field after the Denver Outlaws game giving the crowd two shows to watch.
