Growing up in the Chicago area it is always interesting to revisit the city to see how it has changed over the years. As I remember visiting Grant Park in my youth and also in my college years as my parents lived downtown, I can easily see the old blending in with the new around the city. This building is the Blue Cross Blue Shield Tower just north of the park. What is interesting for this building is that it was completed and then a few years later built upon itself to the current structure we see today. Looking at the building it is not apparent this took place at all. The metal on the building contrasting with the blue and aqua provides the interest to me and the focus of the details on the building.
