I found myself at the Kogod Courtyard while visiting the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the National Portrait Gallery in Washington DC. The lines and patterns of the glass canopy which encloses the courtyard peaked my interest as there were endless opportunities to photograph the details of this architectural piece. In this image the dips and changes in how the canopy covers the courtyard bringing interest to how the lines and patterns sit in the frame.
