Shadows in the Sand

I made a third trip into the sand dunes at Death Valley National Park at sunrise during my time at the park and was treated with some direct light which gave the deep shadows in the sand. With an earlier in the week wind storm as well as a more remote area in the sand dunes I found may areas without footprints giving the texture of the sand blown into this appearance by the wind. During this morning I also just walked and took in the nature of the park in addition to photographing. This is an approach I like to take to fully appreciate locations like this and make my connection to the location even greater than just taking pictures.
