It isn't uncommon at all for it to snow in Colorado early and late in the typical winter months, in fact they are some of our snowiest months. With the storms at this time of year it is a wet heavy snow with plenty of moisture leading to large flakes falling. During this instance of one of those storms I found myself at Civic Center Park and as I looked towards the dome of the Colorado State Capitol noticed the snowflakes almost blocking the view of the dome. One of the biggest challenges photographing in the snow is to keep the lens clear of snow, which becomes harder when pointing the camera upwards. I was able to limit the amount of snow on my lens to capture this image of the capitol building.
