Located in the southwest corner of Lake Tahoe, Emerald Bay is a picturesque location on its own. On this morning I work up early to capture sunrise over the lake to find most overcast skies. Finding a position to capture the scene I was quickly treated to a burst of color over the mountains in the distance at the pre-dawn light which last just a couple of minutes.
