There are many things you cannot control when photographing out of an airplane window. While your route and time of flight will help in planning what you may photograph the actual flight route and conditions are out of your control. As we started to descend into Denver on a flight returning from California I was noticing what could happen with the high level clouds. Descending more and more the color kept on getting added to the scene and once the sun finally did set the sky exploded with color over the Rocky Mountains. One side of the plane watched this happen as we made our way into Denver. A little later we turned back towards the airport and the other side of the plane was treated to the last bit of color in the sky on this fall evening.
