One winter while in Juneau I headed out to Treadwell on a Sunday afternoon. Treadwell is an old mining area on Douglas Island across from downtown Juneau. I started off by exploring the area away from the Gastineau Channel and then headed back towards the parking lot along the water. With the Taku winds blowing that day, but less than in the prior few days, it was nice to have the wind at my back. After passing the pump house, I turned around to look at the building noticing this image as the pump house is surrounded by water during high tide.
