Walking through Grant Park in Chicago I noticed the shadow on the Aon Center, or Standard Oil Building which is still what I think of it as growing up in Chicago. With the facade showing prior a deep transition to light and dark the shadow helped show an end point from the sky on the left to my eye. With the fall light providing the repeating patterns I converted this to black and white letting the tones tell the story.
